Engine Mount: Service and Repair
Engine MountTools Required:
J 28467-A Engine Support Fixture
J 28467-90 Engine Support Fixture Adapters
J 35953 Engine Support Foot Modification
Remove or Disconnect
1. Negative battery cable.
2. Mount retaining nuts from below frame mounting bracket.
3. Raise engine to provide clearance, using J 28467-A, J 28467-90 and J 35953.
4. Drip shield, oil filter.
5. Mount to engine bracket nuts.
6. Mount.
Install or Connect
1. Mount.
2. Mount to engine bracket.
3. Drip shield, oil filter.
4. Lower vehicle.
5. Remove J 28467-A, J 28467-90 and 1 35953.
6. Mount retaining nuts.
Tighten
- Engine mount to frame nuts to 68 N.m (50 lb. ft.).
- Engine mount to bracket nuts to 44 N.m (32 lb. ft.).
- Engine bracket to engine bolts to 95 N.m (70 lb. ft.).
7. Negative battery cable.
Tighten
- Bolt to 15 N.m (11 lb. ft.).
