Seat Belt Buckle Switches

The front seat belt buckles are each equipped with a switch. The seat belt buckle switch indicates to the restraints control module whether seat belt is connected or disconnected. The restraints control module uses this information to determine the deployment rate of the dual-stage driver-side and passenger-side air bag modules.
