Test S: Incorrect Vehicle Identification (DTC C1414): Description

Restraints Control Module (RCM) communicates with front air bag sensor to determine if sensor is correct version for vehicle. If RCM detects a version conflict, it will store Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) C1414 in memory and flash Code 15 on AIR BAG warning light.

RCM monitors connector C310B, terminals No. 7 and 8 to detect vehicle identification code. If RCM detects an unexpected condition at either terminal, it will store DTC C1414 in memory and flash Code 15 on AIR BAG warning light.
