HVAC System - Automatic: Description

The automatic A/C-heater system consists of an Electronic Automatic Temperature Control (EATC) module, ambient temperature sensor, sunload sensor, and in-vehicle temperature sensor. The controlled components include a blower speed controller, 3 vacuum-actuated air control doors, and an electrically operated temperature blend door.
Compressor clutch operation is controlled by Powertrain Control Module (PCM), pressure cut-out switch, and A/C cycling switch. See Fig 1.
