Lower Ball Joint: Installation

  1. Use Ball Joint Replacer (D89P-3010-B), Receiving Cup (D84P-3395-A) and "U" Joint Replacer (T74P-4635-C) to install new ball joint. When installing new ball joint, protective cover must be left in place during installation. It may be necessary to cut off end of protective cover to allow it to pass through receiving cup.
  2. After installation, discard protective cover. Ensure ball joint is fully seated in lower control arm and dust boot is free of cuts or tears. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. Check and adjust front end alignment as necessary. See appropriate SPECIFICATIONS & PROCEDURES article in WHEEL ALIGNMENT.
