Spindle Assembly: Removal
- Raise and support vehicle. Remove wheel assembly. Remove brake caliper and rotor. Remove tie-rod end castle nut cotter pin and nut. Using Tie-Rod End Remover (TOOL-3290-D), remove tie-rod end from spindle assembly.
- Loosen lower ball joint stud nut one or 2 turns. DO NOT remove nut. To loosen stud, hit spindle boss sharply with hammer near stud. Place jack stand under lower control arm to relieve tension from suspension. Remove ABS sensor bolt and ABS sensor.
- Remove nut and stabilizer bar link from spindle assembly. Remove and discard lower control arm ball joint nut. Remove upper control arm to spindle assembly pinch bolt and nut. Raise upper control arm and remove spindle assembly.
