Upper Ball Joint: Removal
- Raise vehicle. Place safety stands under frame behind lower control arms. Remove wheel assembly. Place floor jack under control arm and raise enough to support spring load.
- Remove retaining nut and pinch bolt from upper ball joint stud. Mark positions of alignment cams. Remove ball joint retaining nuts from upper control arm. Spread spindle slot, and remove ball joint from spindle and upper control arm. See Figure.
