Upper Control Arm Assembly: Removal
- Raise front of vehicle. Position jackstands under both sides of frame, just behind lower control arms. Remove wheel. Position floor jack under lower control arm, and raise jack to support lower control arm.
- Secure spindle to vehicle frame using a piece of wire. Remove nut from upper ball joint stud, and remove pinch bolt. Spread slot to release ball joint stud from spindle. Remove upper arm bolts and upper arm assembly. See Figure.
