A/C Cycling Switch

A/C cycling switch senses evaporator core pressure (low) to control compressor operation. See Fig 1. A/C cycling switch contacts open when low-side pressure drops to 21-23 psi (1.5-1.6 kg/cm² ) and close when low-side pressure rises to 42 psi (3.0 kg/cm² ) to prevent evaporator core from icing during normal system operation. A/C cycling switch is mounted on a Schrader valve on accumulator-drier. It is not necessary to discharge A/C system to remove.
