A/C Clutch Air Gap

  1. Check A/C clutch air gap at 3 equally spaced places between clutch hub and A/C clutch pulley.
  2. Remove A/C clutch. See COMPRESSOR SERVICING article in GENERAL SERVICING. Add or remove spacers between A/C clutch and compressor shaft until clearance is within 0.014-0.030 in. (0.35-0.75 mm) See Fig 1.
