Removal & Installation (Evaporator-To-Compressor Suction)

1. Discharge A/C system, using approved recovery/recycling equipment. See RECOVERY, EVACUATION & RECHARGING in GENERAL SERVICING PROCEDURES article in GENERAL SERVICING. Disconnect evaporator to compressor suction line spring lock coupling from accumulator-drier. See Figure.
2. Disconnect evaporator to compressor suction line spring lock coupling from compressor manifold and tube assembly and remove evaporator to compressor suction line. See Fig 1.
3. To install, reverse removal procedure. Lubricate NEW "O" ring seal with PAG Refrigerant Compressor Oil or equivalent. Add 2 ounces (60 ml) of clean PAG Refrigerant Compressor Oil or equivalent to accumulator-drier inlet tube. Evacuate, leak test, and charge refrigerant system.
