Condition Possible Sources Action
No communication with the NGV module
  • Battery junction box (BJB)
  • Fuse 12 (30A).
  • Circuitry.
  • NGV module.
 GO to PINPOINT TEST A .
Incorrect fuel gauge indication
  • Circuitry.
  • Instrument cluster printed circuit.
  • Low fuel level warning switch.
  • Fuel gauge (9305).
 CARRY OUT the on-demand self-test. If no DTCs are retrieved, GO to PINPOINT TEST N .
The instrument cluster is inoperative/erratic
  • Fuse.
  • Circuitry.
  • Instrument cluster printed circuit (10K843).
  • NGV module.
 GO to PINPOINT TEST O .
Erratic gauge and warning indicator operation during instrument cluster prove out
  • NGV module in self-test mode.
 START engine and run at idle for 30 seconds. TURN off engine. TURN ignition switch to the RUN position and OBSERVE instrument cluster prove-out. If gauge and warning indicator operation is still erratic, GO to PINPOINT TEST O .
