Removal and Installation

  1. Remove the front seat. For additional information, refer to FRONT SEAT .
  2. Remove the front seat backrest. For additional information, refer to Front Seat Backrest .
  3. Disassemble the front seat backrest. For additional information, refer to Front Seat Backrest .
    4. NOTE: The lumbar motor, bladder, hose and backing board are serviced as an assembly.
  4. Remove the lumbar motor.
    1. Remove the lumbar motor wire harness pin-type retainer.
    2. Remove the rivets.
    3. Remove the lumbar motor and assembly.

  5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  6. Check the active restraint system for correct operation.
