Trouble Shooting

Verify customer concern by operating door locks or trunk release to duplicate condition. Visually inspect components. If inspection reveals an obvious concern which can be easily serviced, correct malfunction before continuing inspection and verification. Check for misaligned door, binding lock mechanism, misaligned trunk lid and damaged trunk latch. Also check for blown fuses, damaged wiring harness, loose or corroded connections, damaged switches, damaged door lock actuators and damaged trunk release solenoid. If problem is found, repair or replace components as necessary. If problem is not found, repair by symptom. See SYMPTOM INDEX  table.
