Removal & Installation

NOTE: On installation, use NEW "O" rings. Lubricate NEW "O" rings with 5W-30 motor oil.
  1. Release CNG fuel system pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE  . Disconnect negative battery cable. Drain engine cooling system.
  2. Disconnect pressure relief vent hose. Disconnect fuel lines. Disconnect electrical connector and 2 coolant hoses from fuel pressure regulator. Remove 2 bolts retaining fuel pressure regulator and remove fuel pressure regulator. To install, reverse removal procedure. Bleed cooling system. See BLEEDING in COOLING SYSTEM SPECIFICATIONS & DRIVE BELT ROUTING - CARS article in ENGINE COOLING. After installation is complete, fuel lines and fittings must be leak tested. Perform COMPRESSED NATURAL GAS LEAK TEST under FUEL SYSTEMS in SYSTEM & COMPONENT TESTING - EEC-V - NGV article.
