Removal & Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
CAUTION: The evaporative emission system contains fuel vapor and condensed fuel vapor. Although not present in large quantities, it still presents the danger of explosion or fire.
  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Raise and support vehicle. Separate the canister vent solenoid hose assembly and fuel vapor hose assembly. Remove bolts, nuts and Evaporative (EVAP) emissions canister with bracket assembly. Disconnect fuel vapor hose assembly elbow at EVAP canister. Remove canister vent solenoid from EVAP canister. Remove EVAP canister.
  2. To install, reverse the removal procedure. Perform after repair procedure. See AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE .
