Power Steering Fluid Cooler to Power Steering Fluid Reservoir Return Hose





NOTE: 4.6L engine shown. 4.0L engine similar.

Removal and Installation

CAUTION: While repairing the power steering system, care should be taken to prevent the entry of contaminants or premature failure of the power steering components can result.

1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.
2. Using a suitable suction device, drain the power steering fluid reservoir.
3. Release the power steering fluid cooler-to-reservoir hose clamp at the fluid cooler and disconnect the hose.
4. Release the power steering fluid cooler-to-reservoir hose clamp at the power steering fluid reservoir and remove the hose.
5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
^ Fill the power steering system.
