Test D: The Safety Belt Warning Chime Does Not Operate Correctly

PINPOINT TEST D: THE SAFETY BELT WARNING CHIME DOES NOT OPERATE CORRECTLY

D1-D3:

Normal Operation
The instrument cluster sounds the safety belt warning chime for 6 seconds every 30 seconds. This feature continually reminds the driver that the driver safety belt is unbuckled by sounding a chime and illuminating the safety belt warning indicator in the instrument cluster once the vehicle speed has exceeded 5 km/h (3 mph) and the safety belt remains unbuckled.

Possible Causes
- circuit 1390 (DB) open, or short to ground
- instrument cluster
