Removal and Installation
1. Remove the taillamp assemblies.
2. Remove the bumper cover pin-type retainers.
3. Disconnect the rear parking aid sensor electrical connector.
4. If equipped, remove the side marker lamp electrical connector.
5. Remove the 8 inner bumper cover screws.







6. NOTE: The Mountaineer rear bumper cover has clips located at the upper edge of the moulding that attach to the sheet metal.

Remove the rear bumper cover.
- Lift the corner of the rear bumper cover and pull away.
- Repeat on the opposite side.

7. Transfer components as necessary.
8. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
