3. Inspect the connector and socket terminals to be sure they are all making good contact:

4. With the connectors still disconnected, do the following input tests:

Cavity Wire Test condition Test: Desired result Possible cause if desired result is not obtained
11*1 GRN Disconnect the under-dash fuse/relay box connector R (8P) Check for continuity between terminal No. 11 and under-dash fuse/relay box connector R (8P) terminal No. 6:There should be continuity. An open or high resistance in the wire
Check for continuity to ground:There should be no continuity. A short to ground in the wire

*1: Without door multiplex control unit*2: With door multiplex control unit

Cavity Wire Test condition Test: Desired result Possible cause if desired result is not obtained
5*1 GRN Jump the SCS line with the HDS, and wait more than 1 minute

Disconnect the PCM connector A (51P)

Check for continuity between terminal No. 5 and PCM connector A (51P) terminal No. 25:There should be continuity. An open or high resistance in the wire
Check for continuity to ground:There should be no continuity. A short to ground in the wire
12*2 GRY Disconnect these connectors:
  • Power window master switch 37P connector
  • Front passenger's power window switch 37P connector
Check for continuity between terminal No. 12 and power window master switch 37P connector terminal No. 36: There should be continuity An open in the LIN(P/W) wire
Check for continuity between terminal No. 12 and front passenger's power window switch 37P connector terminal No. 34:There should be continuity. An open in the LIN(P/W) wire
Check for continuity to ground:There should be no continuity. A short to ground in the LIN (P/W) wire

*1: Without door multiplex control unit*2: With door multiplex control unit

5. Reconnect the connector, and do the following input tests:

Cavity Wire Test condition Test: Desired result Possible cause if desired result is not obtained
1 RED Under all conditions Measure the voltage to ground:There should be battery voltage.
  • Blown No. B11 (20 A) fuse in the under-dash fuse/relay box
