You are most likely regularly disinfecting vehicles for the safety of you and your customers. This is important to perform on all vehicles -especially shared ones- to help minimize the spread of COVID-19. Certain disinfectants containing ethanol (ethyl alcohol) 71% or higher, isopropyl alcohol, ammonia, bleach, and/or citrus-based cleaning products can discolor or otherwise damage vehicle surfaces.

Honda recommends cleaning hard non-porous vehicle surfaces using a safe biodegradable disinfectant called Bioesque™ Botanical Disinfectant Solution which is approved by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). It is readily available through your normal fluids ordering program using the information below.

If you are unable to purchase the Honda-recommended biodegradable disinfectant, clean with a mild dish soap and water, then use a 60% - 70% ethanol (ethyl alcohol) to properly disinfect. These are effective cleaning and disinfecting methods according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

NOTE: Other disinfectants, such as isopropyl alcohol, ammonia, bleach, and citrus-based cleaning products are not recommended.
