Power Tailgate Drive Unit Removal & Installation: Removal

1. Left Quarter Pillar Trim - Remove - Refer to: Interior Trim Removal and Installation - Pillar Areas Interior Trim Removal and Installation - Tailgate Areas Interior Trim Removal and Installation - Cargo Areas Interior Trim Removal and Installation - Rear Side Area Interior Trim Removal and Installation - Door Areas

2. Arm Unit - Remove

1. Remove the power tailgate rod bracket (A).

2. Note the alignment marks (A) on the drive unit (B) and the arm unit (C).

3. Remove the arm unit (A).
