Removal & Installation

NOTE:  Take care not to scratch the sensor.

• 1. Tailgate Lower Trim Panel - Remove - Refer to: Interior Trim Removal and Installation - Pillar AreasInterior Trim Removal and Installation - Tailgate AreasInterior Trim Removal and Installation - Cargo AreasInterior Trim Removal and Installation - Rear Side AreaInterior Trim Removal and Installation - Door Areas
• 2. Power Tailgate Pinch Sensor - Remove

  1. Disconnect the connector

  2. Remove the clips, the screws, and the bolts

  3. Remove the power tailgate pinch sensor (A).

• 3. All Removed Parts - Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.

  NOTE:  Make sure the power tailgate operates properly after installing the pinch sensor.
