Removal & Installation

NOTE:  Step 1 shows with power tailgate.

• 1. Both Power Tailgate Pinch Sensors - Remove (With Power Tailgate) 
• 2. Tailgate Lower Trim - Remove

  1. Remove the bolts (A).

  2. Release the pins (A) of the clips (B) from the grommets (C) on the tailgate, and detach the clips (D), then remove the tailgate lower trim (E). NOTE:  The grommets will stay in the tailgate 3. Remove the grommets from the tailgate. NOTE:  If the clip pins and the clip grommets are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them as an assembly with new ones 4. Install the clip grommets into the clip pins on the tailgate lower trim.

• 3. All Removed Parts - Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
