Audio System Symptom Troubleshooting - Volume is too high or too low when driving at freeway speeds

NOTE: 

• Check the vehicle 12 volt battery condition first .
• If possible, have the customer demonstrate their concern and compare it against a known-good vehicle.

• 1. Problem verification:

  - 1. Test-drive the vehicle at freeway speeds and monitor the volume level.

  Is the volume level too high, or too low?

  YES 

  The failure is duplicated, go to step 2.

  NO 

  Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.

• 2. Operation check:

  - 1. Change the SVC mode setting in sound set-up to SVC MID.

  Is the volume level still too high, or too low?

  YES: With navigation

  Replace the audio-navigation unit .

  YES: Without navigation

  Replace the audio unit - Refer to: Audio Unit Removal and Installation(With Display Audio)Audio Unit Removal and Installation(With Normal Audio) .

  NO 

  Improper SVC setting for the customer's sound taste.
