Seat Heater Test: Test
SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations and the precautions and procedures before doing repairs or service.
Driver's Seat
- 1. Front Seat - Remove
- 2. Driver's Seat Heater - Test
Without Power Seat
1. Disconnect the seat heater connectors.
2. Check for continuity between seat-back heater connector terminals No. 1 and No. 2. There should be continuity.
3. If the continuity is not as specified, replace the seat-back heater .
4. Check for continuity between seat cushion heater connector A terminal No. 4 and seat cushion heater connector B terminal No. 1. There should be continuity.
5. If the continuity is not as specified, replace the seat cushion heater .
6. Check for continuity between seat cushion heater connector A terminal No. 2 and seat cushion heater connector B terminal No. 2. There should be continuity.
7. If the continuity is not as specified, replace the seat cushion heater .
8. Check for continuity between seat cushion heater connector A terminal No. 3 and seat cushion heater connector B terminal No. 2. There should be continuity.
9. If the continuity is not as specified, replace the seat cushion heater .
10.Connect the seat heater connectors.
Without DPMS with Power Seat 1. Disconnect the seat heater connectors.
2. Check for continuity between seat-back heater connector terminals No. 1 and No. 2. There should be continuity.
3. If the continuity is not as specified, replace the seat-back heater .
4. Check for continuity between seat cushion heater connector A terminal No. 3 and seat cushion heater connector B terminal No. 1. There should be continuity.
5. If the continuity is not as specified, replace the seat cushion heater .
6. Check for continuity between seat cushion heater connector A terminal No. 1 and seat cushion heater connector B terminal No. 2. There should be continuity.
7. If the continuity is not as specified, replace the seat cushion heater .
8. Check for continuity between seat cushion heater connector A terminal No. 2 and seat cushion heater connector B terminal No. 2. There should be continuity.
9. If the continuity is not as specified, replace the seat cushion heater .
10.Connect the seat heater connectors.
With DPMS 1. Disconnect the seat heater connectors.
2. Check for continuity between seat-back heater connector terminals No. 2 and No. 3. There should be continuity.
3. If the continuity is not as specified, replace the seat-back heater .
4. Check for continuity between seat cushion heater connector A terminal No. 6 and seat cushion heater connector B terminal No. 2. There should be continuity.
5. If the continuity is not as specified, replace the seat cushion heater .
6. Check for continuity between seat cushion heater connector A terminal No. 4 and seat cushion heater connector B terminal No. 3. There should be continuity.
7. If the continuity is not as specified, replace the seat cushion heater .
8. Check for continuity between seat cushion heater connector A terminal No. 5 and seat cushion heater connector B terminal No. 3. There should be continuity.
9. If the continuity is not as specified, replace the seat cushion heater .
10.Connect the seat heater connectors.
- 3. All Removed Parts - Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
Passenger's Seat
- 1. Front Seat - Remove
- 2. Front Passenger's Seat Heater - Test
Without Subwoofer
1. Disconnect the seat heater connectors.
2. Check for continuity between seat-back heater 4P connector terminals No. 2 and No. 3. There should be continuity.
3. If the continuity is not as specified, replace the seat-back heater .
4. Check for continuity between seat cushion heater connector A terminal No. 3 and seat cushion heater connector B terminal No. 2. There should be continuity.
5. If the continuity is not as specified, replace the seat cushion heater .
6. Check for continuity between seat cushion heater connector A terminal No. 1 and seat cushion heater connector B terminal No. 3. There should be continuity.
7. If the continuity is not as specified, replace the seat cushion heater .
8. Check for continuity between seat cushion heater connector A terminal No. 2 and seat cushion heater connector B terminal No. 3. There should be continuity.
9. If the continuity is not as specified, replace the seat cushion heater .
10.Connect the seat heater connectors.
With Subwoofer 1. Disconnect the seat heater connectors.
2. Check for continuity between seat-back heater 2P connector terminals No. 1 and No. 2. There should be continuity.
3. If the continuity is not as specified, replace the seat-back heater .
4. Check for continuity between seat cushion heater connector A terminal No. 3 and seat cushion heater connector B terminal No. 1. There should be continuity.
5. If the continuity is not as specified, replace the seat cushion heater .
6. Check for continuity between seat cushion heater connector A terminal No. 1 and seat cushion heater connector B terminal No. 2. There should be continuity.
7. If the continuity is not as specified, replace the seat cushion heater .
8. Check for continuity between seat cushion heater connector A terminal No. 2 and seat cushion heater connector B terminal No. 2. There should be continuity.
9. If the continuity is not as specified, replace the seat cushion heater .
10.Connect the seat heater connectors.
- 3. All Removed Parts - Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
