Rear Seat-Back Cover Removal and Installation: Replacement

Outside Head Restraint

1. Push a flat-tip screwdriver into the notch at the center of the knob (A) to release the tab (B).

2. Insert a 5 mm (0.2 in) thickness flat-tip screwdriver in one side of the notch on both sides of the knob (A), then the knob is moved out about 2 mm (0.08 in)

3. Push and hold the knob (B), then remove the head restraint (C).

4. Push and hold the knob (A), then remove the head restraint (B).

1. Remove the tether anchor cover (A).

2. Unzip the rear seat-back cover (A)

3. Release the hook strips (B).

4. Remove the head restraint guides (A).

5. Left rear seat-back: Release the hooks (A), then pull up the armrest back panel (B).

6. Left rear seat-back: Remove the armrest back panel (A) from the hook strip (B).

7. Remove the screw (A), then pull out the lock knob trim (B).

8. Disconnect the rear seat-back lock knob control cable (A).

9. Release the hooks (A) on the strap cover (B).

10. Remove the bolt (A) with a 6 mm hex wrench.NOTE : Apply medium strength liquid thread lock to the bolt before reinstallation

11. Remove the washer (B), the rear seat inner pivot (C), and the bushing (D).

12. Release the hooks (A), then remove the covers (B) from the rear seat inner pivot (C).

13. Left rear seat-back: Release the hook strips (A) from the rear seat-back frame (B)

14. Left rear seat-back: Release the hook and loop fastener (C).

15. Remove the push nut (A), then disconnect the rear seat-back cancel control cable (B) from the rear seat-back pivot (C)

16. Pull out the rear seat arrange control cable (D) through the hole (E) in the rear seat-back cover (F).

17. Release the hook strips (A)

18. Release the hook and loop fastener (B).

19. Detach the rear seat-back cover (A) from the hooks (B).

20. Detach the clip (A) from the rear seat-back frame (B), then remove the seat-back cover/pad (C).

21. Remove the upholstery rings (A), then remove the rear seat-back cover (B).

6. All Removed Parts - Install

1. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.

NOTE: Replace all of the upholstery rings (A) fastening the seat-back cover (B) to the pad wires (C) with new ones using commercially available upholstery ring pliers (D).
