Replacement Procedure

SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations and the precautions and procedures before doing repairs or service.

• 1. Both Inner Vents - Remove
• 2. Audio Unit - Remove (With Audio Unit) - Refer to: Audio Unit Removal and Installation (With Display Audio)Audio Unit Removal and Installation (With Normal Audio)
• 3. Audio-Navigation Unit - Remove (With Audio-Navigation Unit)
• 4. Center Display Visor - Remove
• 5. Multi-Information Display Unit - Remove
• 6. GPS Antenna - Remove (With Audio-Navigation Unit)
• 7. Sunlight Sensor - Remove (For Some Models)
• 8. Gauge Control Module - Remove
• 9. Passenger's Dashboard Trim Panel - Remove
• 10.Climate Control Unit - Remove (With Auto A/C)
• 11.HVAC Control Unit - Remove (With Manual A/C)
• 12.Both Outer Vents - Remove
• 13.Front Passenger's Airbag - Remove
• 14.Glove Box Striker - Remove
• 15.Steering Hanger Beam - Remove

  1. Remove the bolts (A).

  2. Remove the screws (A).

  3. Detach the harness clip(s) (A).

  4. Detach the harness clip (A).

  5. With climate control: Disconnect the connector (A).

  6. Remove the dashboard (A).

• 16.Center Joint Duct - Remove

  1. If necessary, remove the screw (A), and detach the harness clips (B)

  2. Remove the center joint duct (C).

• 17.Glove Box Cover - Remove

  1. If necessary, remove the glove box covers (A).

• 18.Knee Pad - Remove

  1. If necessary, remove the knee pads (A).

• 19.All Removed Parts - Install - Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
