Removal & Installation

1. Remove the child lock trim (A), and detach the cable clip (B)

2. Remove the bolts (C) with a TORX T30 bit.

3. Slide the rear door latch (A) down to disconnect the outer handle rod (B) as shown 4. Remove the rear door latch. NOTE:  Take care not to bend the outer handle rod, the inner handle cable (C), and the latch cable (D).

1. Open the latch protector covers (A).

2. Disconnect the inner handle cable (A) and the latch cable (B).

1. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.

NOTE: 

• If the inner handle cable end is damaged or stress-whitened, replace it with a new one.
• Make sure the rear door outer handle rod (A) goes into the latch (B) securely.
