Removal And Installation: Exterior

REMOVAL 

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.

  2. Remove the mounting panel screws (1a) and mounting panel (1b).
  3. Disconnect the wiring harness connector (2a) from the decklid switch.
  4. Release the decklid switch retainers (3a).
  5. Remove the decklid switch (1c).

INSTALLATION 

  1. Inspect the decklid switch and the wiring harness connector integrity.

  2. Position the decklid switch (1a) to the panel (1b) and secure the switch to the panel retainers (1c).
  3. Connect the wiring harness connector (2a) to the decklid switch.
  4. Align and position the panel with switch to the decklid.
  5. Tighten the panel retaining screws (1b).
  6. Connect the negative battery cable.
