Diagnostic Test
INSPECT THE FFCM FOR HEAT ACCUMULATION
NOTE:
Inspect the vicinity of the FFCM for excessive heat accumulation and correct as necessary.
- With the scan tool, read Forward Facing Camera Module (FFCM) DTCs and record on the repair order.
- Move the vehicle to a shaded area out of direct sunlight with the ignition off until the vehicle ambient temperature is below 100 deg F (38 deg. C).
- With the scan tool, erase FFCM DTCs.
- Turn the ignition off for ten seconds, then start the engine.
- With the scan tool, read FFCM DTCs.
Did the DTC return?
Yes
- Replace the FFCM in accordance with the Service Information.
- Perform the FORWARD FACING CAMERA VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
No
- Test complete.
- Perform the FORWARD FACING CAMERA VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
