Removal And Installation: Installation

NOTE:

When installing the seat, it must be fastened without distorting the seat tracks. It is very important to loosely install all the bolts and tighten in the order as shown in illustration.

  1. Before proceeding with the following repair procedure, review all warnings and cautions. Refer to SEATS, FIRST ROW, WARNING .
  2. Before installing the seat into the vehicle, check that the rearward floating nuts (1a) and front external nut (1b) move freely.

  3. Position the front seat (4) into the vehicle.
  4. Connect the wire harness connector (3a).
  5. Loosely install the front seat bolts (1a).
  6. Connect the negative battery cable and move the front seat to the full forward position.

  7. Loosely install the rear seat bolts (1a).

  8. Tighten the front seat bolts in sequence of (1a-front inner), (1b-rear inner), (1c-rear outer), then (1d-front outer) to the proper specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
  9. Install the headrest.
  10. Perform the SRS verification test. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  11. Verify seat operation.
