Removal And Installation: Installation

NOTE:

NOTE:

Installation process is the same for both sides of the vehicle.

Completely retract the caliper piston back into the bore of the caliper. Use a C-clamp to retract the piston. Place a wood block over the piston before installing the C-clamp to avoid damaging the piston.
Install the front brake caliper (1a) in its housing.
NOTE:
On base models make sure to reinstall previously removed counterweight on lower caliper mounting bolt.
Install and tighten the brake caliper bolts (1b) to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .

Install the brake tube to the front brackets (1a) in its housing and tighten the nuts (1b) to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
Remove the brake pedal holding tool.
Install the front brake pads. Refer to PADS, BRAKE, FRONT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
Bleed the brakes. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
Remove the supports and lower the vehicle.
