2.0L Removal And Installation: Removal

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
2. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
3. Remove the left and right tire and wheel assembly. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
4. Remove the left and right outer tail lamps. Refer to LAMP, TAIL, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
5. Work on both sides of the vehicle.
6. Remove the retaining screws (1a) securing the rear wheelhouse splash shield to the rear fascia(1b).
7. Remove the retaining clips (2a).
8. Position aside the edge (3a) of the rear wheelhouse splash shield and remove the side screw (3b) retaining the fascia (1b) to the body.

9. Remove the retaining screws (1a) securing the rear fascia (1b).

10. Lower the vehicle.
11. Release the rear fascia (1a), release the side retainers (1b) and middle strip (1c).
12. Release the retainers and disconnect the electrical connection (2a) of the rear fascia wiring.
13. Remove the rear fascia.

INSTALLATION

1. Connect the wiring connectors (1a) of the rear fascia wiring and secure the retainers.
2. Position the rear fascia (2a) in place, secure the side retainers (2b) and the middle strip (2c).

3. Install the lower retaining screws (1a) of the rear fascia (1b) and tighten securely.

4. Install the retaining side screws (1a) securing the rear fascia (1b) to the body. Securely tighten the screws.
5. Install the retaining clips (2a) of the splash shields.
6. Install the retaining screws (3a) securing the wheelhouse splash shields to the rear fascia (1b). Securely tighten the screws.
7. Install the left and right outer tail lamps. Refer to LAMP, TAIL, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
8. Install the left and right tire and wheel assemblies. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
9. Connect the negative battery cable.
