Heat Shield For Intermediate Exhaust Silencer

REMOVAL 

1. Remove the right rear tire and wheel assembly. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
2. Remove the left rear tire and wheel assembly. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

3. Remove the additional rear wheel arch (1b) screws (2a).
4. Using the special tool 1823015000 or equivalent, remove the retaining clips (1a).
5. Position the rear wheel arch (1b) to gain access to the heat shield.

6. Remove the heat shield nuts (1a) and the heat shield (1b).

INSTALLATION 

1. Check that the heat shield is not damaged.
2. Position the heat shield and securely tighten the nuts.
3. Position the rear wheel arch and secure the retaining clips.
4. Install and securely tighten the rear wheel arch screws.
5. Install the left rear tire and wheel assembly. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
6. Install the right rear tire and wheel assembly. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
