Exhaust Muffler

REMOVAL 

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
2. Remove the rear underbody side protection. Refer to BELLY PAN, ENGINE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION or BELLY PAN, REAR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION or BELLY PAN, REAR SUSPENSION, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION or BELLY PAN, SIDE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

3. Loosen the nut (1a) and the rear exhaust pipe clamp (1b).

4. Remove the bolts (1a) securing the rear exhaust muffler mounting brackets (1b) to the body.

5. Release the exhaust pipe from the isolator mount (1) and remove the rear exhaust muffler.

INSTALLATION 

1. Install the rear exhaust muffler and engage the exhaust pipe to the isolator mount.

2. Install the bolts (1a) securing the rear exhaust muffler mounting brackets (1b) to the body and tighten to the proper specification.. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .

3. Tighten the nut (1a) securing the collar (1b) to the proper specification.. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
4. Install the rear underbody side protection. Refer to BELLY PAN, ENGINE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION or BELLY PAN, REAR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION or BELLY PAN, REAR SUSPENSION, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION or BELLY PAN, SIDE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
5. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
