Removal And Installation

REMOVAL 

1. Open the cover of the fuse box and remove the fuel pump fuse F83.
2. Start the engine and run until the fuel in the lines is depleted.
3. Install the fuse removed earlier and close the fuse box cover.
4. Raise and support the vehicle

   Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .

5. Remove the driver side belly pan. Refer to BELLY PAN, SIDE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

6. Remove the fuel filter mounting bolt (1).

7. Disconnect the fuel supply lines (2) quick connect couplings from the fuel filter and remove fuel line from clip (1).
8. Remove the fuel filter and bracket from vehicle.

9. Remove the screw (1a) and turn retaining ring (1b) clockwise and remove.

10. Remove the fuel filter (1a) from the mounting bracket (1b).

INSTALLATION 

1. Install NEW  fuel filter to the filter mounting bracket.
2. Install the retaining ring counter clockwise and install screw.
3. Connect the fuel lines quick connect couplings to the fuel filter.
4. Position fuel filter bracket to vehicle and install mounting bolt and tighten securely.
5. Install the driver side belly pan. Refer to BELLY PAN, ENGINE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION or BELLY PAN, REAR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION or BELLY PAN, REAR SUSPENSION, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION or BELLY PAN, SIDE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
