Removal And Installation

REMOVAL 

1. Perform the fuel system pressure release procedure. Refer to FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE  .
2. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
3. Remove the top engine cover. Refer to COVER, ENGINE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

4. Disconnect the fuel rail pressure sensor wire harness connection (1).
5. Remove the fuel rail pressure sensor (2).

INSTALLATION

1. Lubricate the threads of the fuel rail pressure sensor (1) with a medium hydraulic oil Mobil DTE-25 or equivalent.
2. Install the fuel rail pressure sensor (1) and tighten it to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
3. Connect the fuel rail pressure sensor wire harness connector (2).
4. Install the top engine cover. Refer to COVER, ENGINE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
5. Connect the negative battery cable.
6. Check the high pressure fuel system for leaks. Refer to DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING  .
