Intake Oxygen Sensor

REMOVAL 

1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the top and side engine covers. Refer to COVER, ENGINE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

3. Disconnect the intake oxygen sensor electrical connector (1).

   CAUTION:

   Apply a counter torque to the large hex when removing or installing the O2 sensor to prevent the mounting boss from breaking out of the CAC tube.

4. Loosen and remove the intake oxygen sensor (1).

INSTALLATION

1. Install the intake oxygen sensor and tighten it to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
2. Connect the intake oxygen sensor electrical connector.
3. Install the side and top engine covers. Refer to COVER, ENGINE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
4. Connect the negative battery cable.
