Removal And Installation

REMOVAL 

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
2. Remove the rear drive shaft Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

3. Remove the rear output shaft flange snap ring (1).

4. Using a slide hammer remove the rear output flange (1).

5. Remove and discard the rear output shaft seal (1).

INSTALLATION

1. Install the NEW  rear output shaft seal (1).

2. Install the rear output flange (1a) with the O-ring seal (1c) and washer (1b).

3. Install the rear output flange snap ring (1).
4. Install the rear drive shaft. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
5. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
