Removal And Installation: Outer

REMOVAL 

1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.

2. Reposition the luggage compartment weatherstrip seal (1a).
3. Using an appropriate tool, remove the retaining button (2a).
4. Reposition the edge (3a) of the side trim.

5. For the right side outer lamp only, turn and disengage the retainers (1a), then remove the lid (1b) by disengaging the retainers (1c).

6. For both the left and right side, remove the fastener (1a) securing the tail lamp.

7. Pull the lamp outward (1a) allowing the inner retainers to disengage (1b).
8. Disconnect the wiring harness connector (2) from the lamp.
9. Remove the lamp.

INSTALLATION 

1. Position the lamp to the vehicle for installation.

2. Connect the wiring harness connector (1) to the lamp.
3. Position the light (2a) and engage the inner retainers (2b).

4. Install the lamp fastener (1a).

5. For the right side lamp, position the lid and engage all retainers (1b and 1c).
6. For the left side lamp,

7. Position the side lining (1a) back to the installed position.
8. Install the retaining button (2a).
9. Engage the weatherstrip seal (3a).
10. Connect the negative battery cable.
