Removal And Installation

REMOVAL

Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
Remove the serpentine belt. Refer to BELT, SERPENTINE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

Remove the bolts (1a, 1b) and the belt tensioner (1c).

INSTALLATION

Install the belt tensioner (1a) and tighten the upper bolt (1b) first and then the lower bolt (1c) to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS GAS ENGINE .
Install the serpentine belt. Refer to BELT, SERPENTINE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
Connect the negative battery cable.
