Theory Of Operation

The purpose of this diagnostic is to detect a wrong driving direction.

The failure is detected when:

• When the shifter is in Drive and a pressure regulator combination for Reverse gear is detected (clutches A, B and D are activated).
• When the shifter is in Reverse and a pressure regulator combination other than Reverse gear is detected (clutch C or E is activated).
