Did the Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor 1 value match the reading the fuel pressure gauge?

      Yes

      • Go To  5

      No

      • Go To  6
  5. REPLACE THE LOW PRESSURE FUEL PUMP MODULE AND RETEST FOR DTCS
    1. Replace the Fuel Pump Module in accordance with the Service Information.
    2. Connect the FPCM, Fuel Pump Module and PCM-1 harness connectors.
    3. Turn the ignition on.
    4. With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
    5. Using the recorded Freeze Frame and the When Monitored conditions, operate the vehicle in the conditions that set the DTC.
    6. With the scan tool, read DTCs.

      Did the DTC return?

      Yes

      • Replace the Fuel Pump Control Module in accordance with the Service Information.
      • Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .

      No

  6. CHECK FOR HIGH RESISTANCE IN THE (K181) FUEL PRESSURE SIGNAL CIRCUIT
    1. Turn the ignition off.
    2. Disconnect the Fuel Pressure Sensor harness connector.
    3. Disconnect both PCM-1 C2 harness connector.
    4. Measure the resistance of the (K181) Fuel Pressure Signal circuit between the Fuel Pressure Sensor harness connector and the PCM-1 C2 harness connector.

Is the resistance below 3.0 Ohms?

      Yes

      • Go To  7

      No

      • Repair the (K181) Fuel Pressure Signal circuit for an open or high resistance.
      • Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
  7. CHECK FOR HIGH RESISTANCE IN THE (F855) 5-VOLT SUPPLY CIRCUIT
    1. Measure the resistance of the (F855) 5-Volt Supply circuit between the Fuel Pressure Sensor harness connector and the PCM-1 C2 harness connector.

Is the resistance below 3.0 Ohms?

      Yes

      • Go To  8

      No
