Diagnostic Test

CONNECTION CHECK ON LOW PRESSURE AND TEMPERATURE FUEL SENSOR AND PCM-1
1. Check for loose, damaged or corroded connections on the low pressure and temperature fuel sensor or on the PCM-1.
  Are there any loose or damaged connections?
  
  Yes
  - Repair the wiring connections as necessary.
  - Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - Go To 2
WIRING CHECK BETWEEN LOW PRESSURE AND TEMPERATURE FUEL SENSOR AND PCM-1
1. Check the wiring for an open circuit or high resistance between the low pressure and temperature fuel sensor and PIN 16 of the connector on the engine side of the PCM-1.
  Is there a high resistance or open condition in the wiring?
  
  Yes
  - Repair the open circuit or high resistance in the wiring.
  - Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - Go To 3
WIRING CHECK BETWEEN LOW PRESSURE AND TEMPERATURE FUEL SENSOR AND PCM-1
1. Check for a short circuit in the wiring between the low pressure and temperature fuel sensor and PIN 16 of the connector on the engine side of the PCM-1.
  Is there a short circuit in the wiring?
  
  Yes
  - Repair the short circuit in the wiring.
  - Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - Go To 4
FUEL LOW PRESSURE AND TEMPERATURE SENSOR OPERATION CHECK
1. Check that the low pressure and temperature fuel sensor is working properly.
  Is the low pressure and temperature fuel sensor operating properly?
  
  Yes
  - End of diagnosis.
  No
  - Replace the low pressure and temperature fuel sensor.
  - Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
