Theory Of Operation

The Body Control Module (BCM) is the Local Interconnect Network (LIN) master for the LIN Bus. The BCM monitors the LIN Bus circuits and receives LIN Bus messages from modules on the LIN Bus.

LIN Bus 1 Modules: 

• Electronic Overhead Module (EOM)
• Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS)
• Light Rain Sensor Module (LRSM)
• Seat Belt Reminder Indicator
• Alarm Silent Unit (ASU)

LIN Bus 2: 

• Front Wiper Motor
• Rear Camera
• Steering Column Control Module (SCCM)

LIN Bus 3: 

• Driver Window Switch
• Passenger Window Switch
• Driver Window Motor
• Passenger Window Motor
• Left Rear Window Motor
• Right Rear Window Motor

LIN Bus 4: 

• Speed Control Switch
