Theory Of Operation

The Transmission Control Module (TCM) provides the various sensors in transmission with Supply Voltage circuits. One Supply Voltage circuit can provide power for one or more sensors. This diagnostic monitors one of the sensor voltage supply circuits for faults. This diagnostic also monitors the Input and Output Speed Sensors. If both speed sensors indicate an error at the same time or, if the Voltage Supply circuit voltage is out of normal range, this Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) will set.
