Diagnostic Test

CHECK FOR OTHER DTCS
1. Refer to the recorded DTCs.
  Are there any DTCs active or pending?
  
  Yes
  - Perform the applicable diagnostic procedure(s). Refer to DTC INDEX .
  No
  - Go To 2
FUEL RAIL PRESSURE SENSOR 2 AND CHECK PCM-2
1. Check for loose, damaged or corroded connections on the Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor 2 or on the PCM-2.
  Are there any loose or damaged connections?
  
  Yes
  - Repair the wiring connections as necessary.
  - Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - Go To 3
CHECK WIRING BETWEEN FUEL RAIL PRESSURE SENSOR 2 (K162) AND PCM-2 FOR AN OPEN/HIGH RESISTANCE
1. Check the wiring for an open circuit or high resistance between the Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor 2 (K162) and PIN 40 of the connector on the engine side of the PCM-2.
  Is there a high resistance or open condition in the wiring?
  
  Yes
  - Repair the open circuit or high resistance in the wiring.
  - Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - Go To 4
CHECK WIRING BETWEEN FUEL RAIL PRESSURE SENSOR 2 (K162) AND PCM-2 FOR A SHORT
1. Check for a short circuit in the wiring between the Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor 2 (K162) and PIN 40 of the connector on the motor side of the PCM-2.
  Is there a short circuit in the wiring?
  
  Yes
  - Repair the short circuit in the wiring.
  - Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - Go To 5
CHECK FUEL RAIL PRESSURE SENSOR 2 OPERATION
1. Check that the Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor 2 is working correctly.
  Is the operation of the Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor 2 incorrect?
  
  Yes
  - Replace the Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor 2.
  - Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - Go To 6
CHECK HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP 2 OPERATION
1. Check that the High Pressure Fuel Pump 2 is working correctly.
  High Pressure Fuel Pump 2 not working correctly
  
  Yes
  - End of diagnosis.
  No
  - Replace the High Pressure Fuel Pump 2.
  - Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
