Diagnostic Test

- CHECK CONNECTIONS ON A/C COMPRESSOR, A/C COMPRESSOR RELAY AND PCM-2
- Check for loose, damaged or corroded connections on the A/C Compressor, on A/C Compressor Relay R2-30A of the front relay base or on the PCM-2.
Are there any loose or damaged connections?
Yes
- Repair the wiring connections as necessary.
- Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Go To 2
- Check for loose, damaged or corroded connections on the A/C Compressor, on A/C Compressor Relay R2-30A of the front relay base or on the PCM-2.
- CHECK OPERATION OF A/C COMPRESSOR RELAY
- Check that the R2-30A A/C Compressor Relay of the front relay base is working correctly.
Is the operation incorrect of the A/C Compressor Relay?
Yes
- Replace the R2-30A A/C Compressor Relay of the front relay base.
- Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Go To 3
- Check that the R2-30A A/C Compressor Relay of the front relay base is working correctly.
- CHECK WIRING BETWEEN A/C COMPRESSOR RELAY AND PCM-2
- Check the wiring for an open circuit or high resistance between A/C Compressor Relay R2-30A of the front relay base and PIN 12 of the vehicle side connector of the PCM-2.
Is there a high resistance or open condition in the wiring?
Yes
- Repair the open circuit or high resistance in the wiring.
- Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Go To 4
- Check the wiring for an open circuit or high resistance between A/C Compressor Relay R2-30A of the front relay base and PIN 12 of the vehicle side connector of the PCM-2.
- CHECK WIRING BETWEEN A/C COMPRESSOR RELAY AND PCM-2
- Check the wiring for a short circuit between A/C Compressor Relay R2-30A of the front relay base and PIN 12 of the vehicle side connector of the PCM-2.
Is there a short circuit in the wiring?
Yes
- Repair the short circuit in the wiring.
- Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Go To 5
- Check the wiring for a short circuit between A/C Compressor Relay R2-30A of the front relay base and PIN 12 of the vehicle side connector of the PCM-2.
- CHECK WIRING BETWEEN A/C COMPRESSOR RELAY AND A/C COMPRESSOR
- Check the wiring for an open circuit or high resistance between A/C Compressor Relay R2-30A of the front relay base and the A/C Compressor.
Is there a high resistance or open condition in the wiring?
Yes
- Repair the open circuit or high resistance in the wiring.
- Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Go To 6
- Check the wiring for an open circuit or high resistance between A/C Compressor Relay R2-30A of the front relay base and the A/C Compressor.
- CHECK WIRING BETWEEN A/C COMPRESSOR RELAY AND A/C COMPRESSOR
- Check wiring for a short circuit between A/C Compressor Relay R2-30A of the front relay base and the A/C Compressor.
Is there a short circuit in the wiring?
Yes
- Repair the short circuit in the wiring.
- Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Go To 7
- Check wiring for a short circuit between A/C Compressor Relay R2-30A of the front relay base and the A/C Compressor.
- CHECK OPERATION OF THE A/C COMPRESSOR
- Check that the A/C Compressor is working properly.
Is the operation incorrect of the A/C Compressor?
Yes
- Replace the A/C Compressor.
- Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- End of diagnosis.
- Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
- Check that the A/C Compressor is working properly.
