Serpentine Belt

REMOVAL

Remove the engine cover. Refer to COVER, ENGINE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
Remove the turbocharger air intake tube. Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
Remove the balancer shield retaining nuts and the shield.

Using a suitable wrench, rotate the belt tensioner (2) and remove the serpentine belt (1).

NOTE:

Visually check that all the belt grooves are inserted in those of the pulley.

Route the serpentine belt (1) on all the pulleys except the idler pulley. Using a suitable wrench, rotate the belt tensioner (2) and install the serpentine belt to the idler pulley then slowly rotate and release the belt tensioner.
Install the balancer shield and retaining nuts.
Install the turbocharger air intake tube. Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
Install the engine cover. Refer to COVER, ENGINE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
